The Joynn Academy was officially opened on November 11, 2025, when the first students joined the academy. The opening was conducted by Silvester Botman, who represents the Dutch government and contributes to the program’s funding through FBK funding of RVO.
With the Joynn scholarship vouchers, children have the chance to continue their education at the Joynn Academy. This support is especially aimed at children who would otherwise fall through the cracks, as many parents cannot afford to send their children to secondary school or further studies.
